Light Installation for Lumen Ortis at Bournemouth Central Gardens April 2010
Decoy House refers directly to Bournemouth’s earliest origins, namely the 18th century lodge that once stood in the hunting ground situated on or near the present day gardens. It is an articulation of Bournemouth’s growth as a seaside resort, and of the entertainment and distractions commonly found on the seafront. Decoy House is both a nostalgic evocation of childhood holidays spent on the coast, and an expression of continuing, surviving traditions.
